My Brother Vanished the Night of His Prom – 23 Years Later, Found a Man Who Looked Exactly Like Him 3,000 Miles from Home – Wake Up Your Mind

Another pause.

Levi closed his eyes.

“She said her name is Tessa Whitaker.”

The silence on the other end seemed endless.

Levi’s throat moved as he swallowed.

“She says Jesse was her brother.”

I could not hear the voice on the phone, but I saw its effect. Levi’s face crumpled slightly. He turned toward the window, blinking hard.

“No, Dad. I didn’t tell her where we live.”

A pause.

“I remembered what you said.”

Another pause.

“I know.”

Then he listened for almost a full minute.

Finally, he said, “Okay. We’ll wait here.”

He hung up.

“He’s coming,” Levi said.

My heart began to pound so violently that I pressed both hands to my chest.

“He’s coming here?”

Levi nodded.

“He said not to go to the house.”
