Then Rebecca played the audio recordings of Marjorie’s threats and showed investor presentations where Marjorie promised infrastructure access rights she didn’t own.

The room erupted. Neighbors shouted questions, reporters scribbled frantically.

County Environmental Officer Janet Morrison took the microphone next.

“Three months of leaking diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid, and concrete wash have turned Willow Creek into an ecological disaster zone. Cleanup costs will exceed $200,000, with criminal violations pending against Pinnacle Construction.”

Marjorie’s face lost all color.

$200,000 for environmental cleanup.
$400,000 for emergency utilities.
18 months of delays killing her development contracts.

She stood up, her composure completely shattered.

“This whole situation is blown out of proportion!” she yelled at the crowd. “Roman was obstructing legitimate community development! His bridge was old and dangerous!”
