My Son Flew His Family To Hawaii For Thanksgiving And Left Me Behind With A Note On The Refrigerator

You may not get a true answer. I didn’t get mine for five days and I had to find it in a bin under a loveseat.

But ask it anyway. Out loud. Because the day you stop asking is the day you start being provisioned, and there is soup in the freezer for a woman who stops asking, and not much else.

Now I want to hear from you.

Was she right to call the movers the very next morning — thirteen items, out the door, before anybody landed — or did her son deserve one phone call and a chance to explain first?

And here’s the one I really want argued out in the comments on the Facebook video: he read that note before they got in the car. He saw “there’s soup in the freezer” written to his own mother and he picked up a suitcase anyway. Is a man who was too ashamed to say “I’m broke” any better than the one who typed $1,850 on a loan form?
